Africa Partners Medical (APM) is a group of American doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals committed to improving medical care in Africa. APM does so by sponsoring educational conferences in Africa and establishing long-term partnerships with indigenous African health care personnel.

The Gustavus Chapter of APM is affiliated with the morther organization of APM based in Rochester, Minnesota, under the Mayo Clinic. Our main goals for 2009 include:

• gathering surplus medical and hygiene supplies around St. Peter and Mankato
• setting up a scholarship fund to assist a high school student in Africa
• participating and volunteering in the Gustavus and local communities
