The Musical B.A.R.
Homepage

Kelly Peterson:

Hey my name is Kelly and I am a sophomore religion major with a peace studies minor! I am new to this Musical B.A.R. thing but music in general is definitely not a new concept.

BACKGROUND: I have been singing for as long as I can remember; my first live debut was when I was 18 months old, or so I’ve been told. I started getting more known in middle school and gradually made a name for myself in my hometown by the end of high school, either by singing at church events, concerts, or talent shows. Other than being in different choirs, I was also involved in band and jazz. After graduation I participated in the Wright County Fair’s talent show and received 1st place. This allowed me to perform at the State Fair as well, where I received runner-up on my night! Not gonna lie-- that was a pretty cool experience.
NOW: At GAC, I am a member of Lucia Singers. You may have also seen me sing at an open mic night, last year’s First Year Olympics talent show, or GAC Idol—this year and last.

FUN FACTS: What is not so known about me is that I also play guitar, saxophone and accordion….yes, I play accordion. It kind of runs in the family…I also love to read—usually a book a day—and I will dye my hair ANY color. J

FUTURE: At the moment, my future plans include graduating from Gustavus and then going to Seminary, where I will eventually (hopefully!) become a marriage and family counselor. Oh, and MAYBE someday I will become a famous singer—my absolute dream job!

~So yeah,  I love singing/performing in front of people and I am super pumped to be a part of a group that enjoys doing  the same!
