Chris Allen:

Hey everyone! My name is Chris Allen and I am the webmaster for this fine organization. I am a sophomore studying Music Education and Trombone Performance. I started my musical career with piano lessons in 2nd grade. I picked up the trombone going into 6th grade. In 11th grade I learned how to play the tuba and euphonium.

I played in the bands and jazz bands middle school through high school. Outside of that I have played in a Shoreview Community Band, the Century College Community Band, the Minnesota Youth Jazz Band and the Minnesota Youth Symphony.

Here at Gustavus I play bass trombone in the Gustavus Wind Orchestra and in the Gustavus Jazz Lab Band.

I am also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to teach tuba lessons here on the weekends (feel free to contact me if you are looking for a lesson teacher).

Back home I am the tuba player for a brass quintet called the Blue Tie Brass who I occasionally perform with when the opportunity arises.
