Madison Heckel:

Who ARE you...?!
-I’m Madison, NOT Maddie.  I got by basically any other nickname though, especially Mads and Mad Dawg.  I’m a freshman here at GAC, and I hail from White Bear Lake, MN.  I’m a pre-med psychology major with a neuroscience minor, and I have no idea what I’m going to do with my life!

What do you DO?! (instrument, voice, event actuator)
-I LOVE to sing.  I’m pretty much always singing, though I haven’t been in choir since elementary school.

How long have you BEEN musically active?!
-I played piano for about eight years, dabbled with the recorder in elementary school, and rocked the bass clarinet in middle school.  Other than that, I’ve been singing my whole life and that’s about it!

What IS your musical history?!
-I was in choir as a kid and spent two summers at the University of St. Thomas’ choir camp, which my music teacher had to recommend me for.  Other than that I’ve just spent my life appreciating and singing music, and I’ve decided that college is the time for me to get involved in my passions!

Are you a part of ANY bands or musical groups?
-I recently discovered that one of my great friends Joe Poblocki and I have basically the exact same taste in music, and we’ve been jamming a lot together, me singing and him playing the guitar.

Do you have any musical goals IF any?!
-It has always been a life goal of mine to sing in front of an audience, and I don’t really count choir since I was one of about eighty kids on stage at the time.  I can be really shy, and I’m hoping this can crack my shell!
