Tabling for Divestment

March 18th -22nd

We will be tabling outside the Caf during this week to spread awareness to the Campus about Divest Gustavus. The petition and handouts with info will be available.

 

Earth Week 2013

  • Greens will be helping out with the Earth Jam Revolution festival

Earth Week 2010 - April 19-23

A whole week of awesome events, centered around Earth Day.  Events are hosted by the Greens, Linnaeus Arboretum, Democracy Matters, Lang/Marxhausen Productions, and the Greenhouse.

Monday April 19

The Greens will be tabling outside the Caf with information about Earth Week.  We will also be collecting clothing, household items, and accessories for Swap-Your-Stuff on Tuesday night.

Farming Forward: 7:00 p.m., Confer 128.  An amazing documentary produced by current Gustavus student Ethan Marxhausen and professor Martin Lang.  Read about it here and here.

 

Tuesday April 20

Greens will be tabling again and collecting stuff for the...

Swap-Your-Stuff: 6:00-8:00 p.m., in the Dive.  Drop off your gently used clothes, accessories, and household items at the tables on Monday and Tuesday or bring them directly to the event.  At the event, you can pick up free stuff, YES FREE! You can take stuff even if you didn't bring anything!

Greenhouse Plant Sale: 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., Nobel Greenhouse.  Give a plant a home this Earth Week - stop by the greenhouse on the third floor of Nobel Hall to purchase a plant. Orchids, aloes, and cacti are just some of the many unique plants to choose from.

 

Wednesday April 21

"Trees for the Heart" Arboretum Events:
Arboretum Fun Run: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., meet at shelter outside Interpretive Center
Arb Cleanup: noon - 3:00 p.m., meet at shelter outside Interpretive Center.  Volunteers will be removing invasive plants from the Arb, so come dressed to get dirty!

Thursday April 22 - EARTH DAY!

Campus Clean-up: hosted by Democracy Matters; 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; tabling outside the Caf.

Seed Planting: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Eckman Mall (outside Caf).  Plant seeds in recycled/able pots, and watch them grow.  Seeds, pots, and soil provided - just add water.
